What is Tense?
The concept of tense in English is a method that we use to refer to time – past, present and future. Many languages use tense to talk about time. Other languages have no concept of tense at all, but of course they can still talk about time, using different methods.
a. Basic Sentences Stucture
as we know in english has a structure like in indonesia. a sentence is built upon four main components, namely
Subject (S) + Verb (V) + Complement (C) + Modifier (M)
for example :
- We studied grammar last week
We + studied + grammar + last week
S + V + C + M
- The Eiffel Tower is a landmark in Paris, France
The Eiffel Tower + is a landmark + in Paris+,+ France
S + V + C + M
Arizona have a very dry climate.
